Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! It is officially the last day of the month of October. It is by the grace of God that we have made it to see yet another month. This year has flown by so quickly and we only have two more months of the year left. The New Year will be here before we know it! Let's finish out the year strong! There is still time to set out and accomplish whatever it is that you have been wanting to do. Wanted to share this quote with you all about how important it is for our minds to be set in a positive state of being. The mind is power and it is a battlefield. It is so important to be in the mindset of positive, uplifting, and encouragement. What you give power to will have total control over you. Any crack of negativity lingering in your mind that's all the enemy needs to takeover with thinking ungodly thoughts. We have to keep our thoughts on things above and not earthly things. It is so important to spend quality time with God before you begin your day so that your mind is set for the day no matter what may come your way. I am finding myself waking up before my alarm goes off and in that time I am spending it reading my devotionals and praying. I truly feel so relaxed and at peace after I had my quiet time with my Heavenly Father. Whatever works for you whether it's the morning, at lunch, or before bed take time to spend with God so that he can give you a renewed mind and spirit. I hope you all have a great and blessed weekend!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

I hope you all are doing well! It's the middle of the week and we only have two more days left in the month of October. I hope that you all are having a great and productive week. Let's finish out this week and this month strong!. If the week didn't start out so well for you then there is still time to regroup and finish it off better then it started. Let's keep our minds positive and focused on the big picture within our lives and our personal journeys. Wanted to share this quote with you all and it is just a reminder that no matter what you have gone through it has made you into the woman you are today. Everything that we go through is for a reason and it is only preparing us for what God is getting ready to bless us with. Your past does not dictate your future and your past doesn't define who you are. Your past is a part of your story, your journey, of how God brought you from a mighty long way. For those who counted you down and out, it is by the grace of God that you are still standing and standing stronger then ever. Always remember, that you are loved and that you are the daughter of the most high God!!!

You Must Deny Your Flesh Daily

Greetings and Blessings!!

Thanking God for another day that is filled with new promises and new mercies. It is the start of a new week! We are in the last week of the month of October and this upcoming Saturday will be the first of November. This month has gone by so fast and we are slowly but surely approaching the New Year of 2015. There is still time for you to set out and accomplish whatever it is that you want to do within this year. Also, there is nothing wrong with starting to think about the goals that you want to achieve for the upcoming New Year. I wanted to share this quote with you all. It is so important in this walk that we kill/deny off our flesh DAILY!!! We must not give into the temptation of what our flesh wants. Is this an easy task to do, NO! But it is something that we must do in order to be led and fed by the Holy Spirit. Whatever that voice is speaking to you into giving into what your flesh wants you have to fight that off. Giving into what our flesh wants may bring a bit of pleasure but it will also bring some serious consequences that we have to deal with eventually. Is what your flesh wants really worth all that is going to coming? Is what your flesh wants really worth that temporary pleasure? The answer is, NO!!! God paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of us when he died on the cross. He knows that we will make mistakes but he wants us to seek him when we feel that pressure in wanting to give into what our flesh is screaming/craving for.

This walk is not an easy walk but the reward for being obedient is worth all that we go through. It is important that we are surrounded by those individuals that is going to speak to our spirit. It is important that we surround ourselves with individuals that are speaking positive, encouraging, uplifting things in our lives. Again, if those that you are surrounded by are not adding value to your life or making you think on a more deeper and intimate level about things then it is time to clean house and let go of those relationships and/or friendships. Some of the things that you used to enjoy doing or the people that you use to hang out with may not get where God is trying to take you. And that is okay because he gave that vision to YOU and not THEM! God is trying to do a new thing in YOU in a NEW WAY but he can't until those things that used to satisfy you are no longer your focus.

I took a vow and made a declaration of purity. Even though, I am sexually abstaining from sex until marriage, this vow that I made means a lot more.  It means I want to be pure all around not just sexually. I want my heart to be pure, my mind to be pure, my thoughts to be pure, and my intentions to be pure. Was this easy to do, nope and is this something that everyone is going to get or understand especially in this world we live in, nope. But I didn't do it for the world, I did it for myself and the God that I serve. I want to be the woman he knows I can be and I am dedicated to serving him and only him. I pray you all's strength in dealing with whatever it is your flesh is wanting. Surround yourselves with people who uplift you and not tear you down. Hope you all have a great and blessed week!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I hope you all had a great and productive week. The weekend is here and we are entering into the final week of the month. Come next Saturday it will be the 1st of November. Wanted to share this quote with you all and how it important it is to have self-love within and for ourselves. Having self-love is one of the best qualities one can have because you are able to take the time and care for yourself. If you are the kind of person that is always on the go and is always the person on the giving in then it is time to rethink some things. It is great to be there for others but it is as equally important to be there for yourself. Take some time for yourself and do the things that you have been wanting to do. You can not be there fully for others and not be there fully for yourself. I pray that you all have a great, relaxed, fun-filled weekend!!!

Do You Have Faith Or Fear?

Greetings and Blessings!!!

I hope you all are doing well. It is the middle of the week and I hope that everyone's week is going well thus far. The month of October is almost done with just have one more week left to go. There is still time for you to set out and accomplish whatever short-term or long-terms goals that you have for yourself. If there is something that you have been wanting to do take a leap of FAITH and do it! You will never know something unless you try. I so love this image because it is stating to have FAITH IN HIM! It is such a powerful image and message to get across to everyone. Despite whatever may be going on in your lives, you can always have faith in him. We can't be consumed with FAITH and FEAR. It is one or the other but it can not be both!! So what is "it" that is holding you back? What is "it" that you can't put your complete trust and faith in God? Why is it so hard to let "it" go?

Do you really and I mean really trust God? Do you trust him enough to believe that he will do just what he said he would do? Are you tired of waiting for him to answer you or show you a sign, and that is when you take matters into your own hands? Are you showing patience, having an attitude of gratitude, and being obedient? Are you truly surrendering yourself to him? I had difficultly with these questions in the past. Because, I said I had faith in God but there was always that spirit or feeling of fear in the back of my mind. That was telling me that whatever I was wanting at the time I should be able to have it now and that I shouldn't have to wait. Or that feeling of, is God really going to bless me with what I just prayed and asked him for. Because I am not "worthy" of what I just prayed to him about.

God didn't give us the spirit of fear. He wants us to have faith in him during the good and bad times. How we handle things when situations and circumstances come about is a true testament to our faith. Will we rise above it or sink with the ship? Because just as the seasons change for the weather so does the seasons change in our lives. Whatever season you are in right now, it will come to an end. But this is your preparation time, your shaping and molding time to get prepared for what is to come. Do you have faith in him that he will get you to where he wants you to be? Do you have faith in him that he will do just what he said he would do? Do you have complete faith in him? Are your actions and the words that you speak saying that you have faith in him? Or are your actions and the words that you speak saying that of fear and defeat?

Be Blessed

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!!

I hope you all are doing well. I hope everyone's week is going well so far. I wanted to share this beautiful passage with you all. I loved reading this and it gave me a sense of peace and calmness. God's love for us his children is so amazing and awesome. No matter what happens in this life, God's love for us his daughters never runs out. When it comes to the good, bad, and the ugly his love is ever flowing and it is unconditional. No one is going to love us like God does. Whether if we are in the right or the wrong, he will love us always. His love is not like that of a human being. His love is pure, real, and unconditional. He sees our flaws, imperfections, insecurities, and he longs for us to draw near him. It is so amazing that we can go to God with anything and he won't shun us away. He will meet us right were we are at. I encourage you all to go to God for he is there to listen and talk back to us. He is waiting to hear from you and wanting a relationship with you. He is wanting to use you to magnifying and glorifying his name. I pray you all have a great and blessed week!!

Attitude Of Gratitude

Greetings and Blessings!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you all are doing well! I hope you all had a great and  blessed weekend. Thank God for allowing us to make it to see another week. We have just one more week left to go then we will be in the month of November!! In this post I wanted share with you all in how showing an attitude of gratitude is important during our personal walks in this life. In this life, we can and we will experience some unpleasant, uncomfortable, and difficult situations and/or circumstances. And it is in those difficult times our attitudes can either be positive or negative. We can either let what we are going through define us or we can make the most of the situation in working around the obstacle and looking at it from a different perspective. Yes, we will have our moments of being down and feeling overwhelmed and may be even the feeling of being defeated. But we have a choice to either be happy or miserable.

Whatever you are going through, there is always a way to turn it around for the better. It all begins with YOU. Each day YOU are given another chance and a choice about how you are going to live that day. You have the choice to either be GRATEFUL for what you have and make the most of it, or you can make the choice of dwelling in DESPAIR and allow it to pull you into this belief that whatever you are hoping or wanting to happen just won't or can't.

But it is important to know and to remember that even on the WORST days there is always something to be thankful for. When it comes to gratitude, you are focusing on the good within your life even if things aren't going that great. Life will always have its ups and downs, but there is something that we can always be appreciative of or show our support in being there for others in their time of need. One thing I have learn about this season that I am in, is that it is not about me but about God and letting him use me to be a blessing to others. The greatest test that we all experience is being able to be there for others and be a blessing to someone while we are in the midst of a storm.

So what are you GRATEFUL for? How can YOU show an attitude of gratitude? Will you chose to be HAPPY in spite of or will you choose to be MISERABLE?

Always remember, that the more you focus on the GOOD, the more GOOD will come into your life.

Be Blessed

Happy Friday

Greetings and Blessings!!!

Happy Friday!!!! I hope you all are doing well and I hope you all had a good and productive week. Thank God for all that he has done for us and all that he continues to do for us despite our shortcomings. His love never fails and he will always make away for us we just have to just keep trusting and believing in him that he will. I pray that whatever it is that you are going through that you give it over to God and that he gives you rest and peace when you seek him. This walk is not easy but it is worth it and the reward of magnifying and glorifying God. God doesn't want to see us stuck or be content with what we have or where we are in life. He wants us to see ourselves where HE knows we can be but we have to go through things in order to get there. We can't skip or avoid seasons. This life is not our permanent home but we must live it to the fullest. Don't let the enemy keep you trapped and held hostage over your past or over your present situation. You have to praise God through it all!!! You have to keep pressing and pushing forward. You have come to far to give up or give in now. Give God thanks for what he has done and give God thanks for what is to come!!! Be true and pure with your intentions in all that you do. Don't let this world conform you into following what they think is right or wrong. Look to God and follow his word. God will always be there for you no matter what. I pray that you all have a great and blessed weekend!!! Go out and enjoy this life that God has blessed us with!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

Good Morning All!! Thank God for another day and thank him for this new day filled with new promises and new mercies. I hope you all are doing well. I also hope that everyone's week is going well. The weekend is almost here!! We only have a few more weeks left in the month of Oct and before we now it we will be in the 11th month of the year. I wanted to share this morning message with you all. I love getting these morning messages they are always always on point (lol) This message is so important for us to know and remember. Everyone that we have in our lives is not always meant to stay there no matter how much we may want them to. People are brought into our lives for a reason, season, or a lifetime. We have learn how to use to spirit of discernment and weed out the ones that are not meant to be in our lives. People can be either assigned to you or attached to you. Where God is taking you it's not meant for everyone to go with you. Some people will be left behind! God can't elevate you if there is no separation from individuals who aren't meant to be there. God is a jealous God! He may want you all to himself!! If there are individuals who are in your lives and they are not adding anything positive or valuable or helping you grow then it's time to let them GO!!! God will always place individuals in our lives who may be of help to us when it is needed. Trust him and trust that HE is all you need!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

I hope you all are doing well! I pray that you all are having a great and productive week so far. I wanted to share this quote/image with you all. Having a relationship with God is the best choice that I ever made in my life. I realized that even though I grew up going to church I didn't fully have a true and committed relationship with God. Now, I have recommitted and rededicated my life to him and it is by his grace and mercy that I am still here and still standing. No matter what you have gone through in your life. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross for our sins. He hung on that cross and three days later he rose again! We have no room to complain about things that are insignificant. It is by his blood that we are healed and are able to live this life that he has given us. This world we live in is just temporary and our permanent home is in Heaven. Cherish every moment and live the life that God intended for you to have. Continue to walk in your purpose and be bold followers of Christ. I pray that you all have a great and blessed week!!

Spending Quality Time With God

Greetings and Blessings!!

Good Morning All!! I hope you all are doing well! I also hope that you all had a great and blessed weekend! It is the beginning of a new week! We just got into the month of October and we only have to more weeks left in the month before we head into the month of November. The months are surely flying by and before we know it by the grace of God we will be ringing in to the New Year!! I am so thankful for this day! I am thankful for another chance and another opportunity that God has blessed me with. I have been reading The Prayer of Jabez Devotional along with my Women's Devotional Bible and it is funny how sometimes that the devotionals I am reading relate and go together in some way. I have also been writing in my journal a lot more and trying to be consistent with that as well. Because it gets hard sometimes and sometimes you just don't feel like reading or writing. Or sometimes I'll read but I'll forget to say a prayer for the day. It's so amazing how our minds can become consumed with so much stuff that don't really matter but we don't take the time out to hear from God or even speak to him. But I remember that its not about me but about God and that I cannot forget about him because he has never forgotten about me.

If we can take the time and be dedicated to other things within our lives then we can take the time and be dedicated to spending quality time with our Father. If it starts to feel that your spending time is more of an obligation then you need to do a heart check and check your motives. Despite all the things that may be happening in and around us, we have to make time to sit and be still and listen for God when he speaks. And when he does speak, are we willing to follow his words or choose another route? God knows us better then we know ourselves, he knows everything about us and he wants us his children to come to him to rest, to seek peace, to seek comfort, to seek spiritual understanding, to seek wisdom etc. But how can we do that if we don't spend time with him, if we don't take the time out to spend with him. Find a place that is comfortable to you where you can sit and have your quiet and quality time alone with God. Because just as much as we want to hear from him, he wants to hear from us as well! I pray you all have a great and productive week!!

Be Blessed

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

Hope you all are doing well. It's Friday and the weekend is here! Thank God for letting us make it to the end of the week. I hope you all had a great and productive week. If the week didn't go as you hoped its okay just let it go and let it be. I wanted to share this quote with you all. Wherever you are at in your life right now it is exactly where you are meant to be. God has you where he wants you to be in order to elevate you to the next level. But you have to be where you are at right now in order to get there. There is now skipping or avoiding seasons. We have to go through each season that we are in because other wise we wouldn't be prepared and equipped to handle the blessings that God has for us. Whatever season you are in there is a reason for it and God is preparing, shaping, and molding you for what is to come next. Remember that trouble don't last always and there is a purpose for your pain. God's plan is always best and he knows what he is doing we just have to trust him. I hope you all have a a great and blessed weekend!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

I hope you all are doing well. It is the middle of the week and I hope you all are having a great week so far. If not that is okay there is still time to end the week better than it started. I wanted to share this quote with all. It is so important that we take a look at those who we have close relationships and friendships with. When it comes to having relationships and friendships with people it is supposed to be a place where when someone sticks by you when you are down and celebrates with you when you are up. It's someone you trust. It is someone who understands you, knows the real you and appreciates the person you are. When it comes to friendships and relationships it goes beyond just hanging out and spending time together and it is long lasting.  It is important that you are surrounded by individuals that will help push you closer to achieving your goals and dreams and vice versa. Individuals that will push you to having a closer relationship with God. Individuals who will be honest  with you and not just agree with everything that you say just because. If these individuals are not doing any such things then it’s time to re-evaluate the friendship. Having an authentic and genuine friendship with someone is truly a blessing and it is important that one cherishes it. If the individuals that you are surrounded by are not adding anything positive to your life then its time for you to re-evaluate that friendship/relationship. If you have those individuals who are there for you and you are there for them take the time out to show your apprehension and cherish the moments.

Purity

Greetings and Blessings!!

I hope you all are doing well! Thank God for this new day. Another day filled with new promises and new mercies. I hope you all had a great weekend! It is the beginning of a new week and I hope that you all make it a great and productive week. Keep positive thoughts and speak positive words no matter what for this week. In this post I wanted to share with you all the topic of purity. When looking at the definition of purity, it says, "the condition or quality of being pure; freedom from anything that debases, contaminates, pollutes, etc." Now, most of us pretty much know that purity has to do with abstaining or being celibate from sex until marriage. But I am learning that purity has a much deeper meaning then just abstaining/being celibate from sex til marriage. Purity and being pure doesn't all have to deal with just sex but it also entails having a pure mind, having pure thoughts, and most importantly having a pure heart. You can be pure all you want physically but we must ask ourselves are we being pure within our minds, thoughts, and hearts as well. Are we dying to ourselves daily? Are we being led and fed by the spirit? Or are we being led by the ways of the world?

In the world we live in today, we are bombarded with sex from T.V. to music, movies, etc. and many have become desensitized and believe that it's just the way things are. Yet, we must know and remember that we are in the world and not of the world. When it comes to living a life of purity it is more than abstaining from sex. When looking at purity it entails how you interact with people. It includes what you think about and how you spend your time. When it comes to purity it is a matter of totally committing your life to God. I admit whenever I heard or thought of the word purity, I thought it was just abstaining/being celibate from sex until marriage. Now, I have a better understanding and knowledge of the word. As women, single or not, we must learn to guard our bodies and our hearts rather than freely give them away to whomever just because we receive a few compliments that make us feel good.

When it comes to living a life of purity it all starts with your choices. Now, this is not saying that it will be easy because it won't be. God doesn't force us to do anything he gives us the choice of free will. But are you willing to make a commitment and a sacrifice to God?  What are you doing with the freedom of choice that he has given you? Yes, the temptation will be there and that is not just regarding sex but the temptations, distractions, hindrances to other things as well. When these temptations or distractions come about that is a great opportunity to do the right thing as it is to do the wrong thing. This walk, this journey is not easy by any means and at times there will be difficult and challenging moments in where you want to give but we can't because that's what the enemy wants us to do. God knows our hearts desires but we must be willing to follow him even if we don't understand. I made a pledge to not only be pure physically but to be pure within my heart, mind, and thoughts. It is the best thing that I did, its not easy but it sure is worth it!

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.” – James 1:12-16 NLT

“Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him.” - Philippians 3:8 The Message
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” – Romans 12:2 NLT
“Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” – Matthew 26:41 NLT

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!!

Good Morning all! I hope you all are doing well on this Saturday. I hope that you all had a great and productive first week for this new month that we are in. Just wanted to share this quote with you all. No matter what anyone says, does, or thinks know that you are enough. You are not your past and your past doesn't define who you are now. You have a purpose and throughout everything that you have gone through thus far is for a reason. You can't let the negativity or judgments of others keep you in a box. We all have a past some worse then others but it is by the grace of God that you made and are making it. Know that you are worthy of love, know that you are worthy of having the desires of your heart, know that you are valuable. You are enough and you have what it takes to make it through for God is with you always. Speak positive things and think positive things because you are a child of the most high God. He made you in his image and likeness. He knows you better than anyone. You are stronger and braver then you think you are. You have what it takes to make it in this world. You are enough and you are beautiful just the way you are. I hope you all have a great and blessed weekend!!

Quote Of The Day

Greetings and Blessings!!

I hope you all are doing well. We are in the month of October already!!! The year is winding down and there is still lots of things that you can accomplish within these last few months of the year. Whatever has happened in the beginning of the year is of the past, you can set out and obtain those short-term goals that you want to achieve. And by working within those short-term goals, you are setting your sights on achieving and working on those long-term goals. I wanted to share this quote with you all. It is so important to remember that in all that we do we do it with kindness. It is so important to know and remember that when we do things for others that we do it from the heart. Do things because its set on your heart to do it. Don't do things for others that renders you getting something in return or you getting recognition. When we don't do things with kindness we tend to do it halfheartedly and be complaining along the way. Don't say or do something if you aren't going to do it from your heart. Because you wouldn't want someone to do that same thing to you. Just be mindful and if God set it on your heart to help someone do it with kindness.

Be Blessed
